18번 목적 찾기 문제는 주로 편지글의 목적을 이해하는 매우 쉬운 유형이다.

편지글은 처음에는 이 글을 쓰게 된 배경이 주로 나온 후에 편지를 쓴 목적은 주로 글의 절반 이후에 나오는 형식을 띄게 된다. 이 문제도 연습된 경우 5초~10초 컷 문제.

We are really grateful to all of you / who have signed up for the 10th Rosydale City marathon / that was scheduled for this coming Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

We truly hoped that the race would go smoothly.

However, it is likely that the heavy rain will make the roads too slippery and dangerous for the racers to run safely.
그러나 폭우는 길을 너무 미끄럽게 만들어서 레이서들이 안전하게 달리는 것이 위험할 것 같습니다.
As a result, we have decided to cancel the race.
결과적으로, 우리는 경주를 취소하기로 결정하였습니다.
